System Engineer | AWS Working Hours: Mon-Fri (Hybrid) Location: Central Remuneration: Up to $10,000 + AWS We are seeking an Operations Support Engineer to manage and optimise cloud and infrastructure platforms, ensuring reliability, security, and performance across environments. This role involves hands-on system administration, automation, monitoring, and troubleshooting, working closely with engineering teams to maintain stable, scalable platforms and support continuous delivery. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain cloud and on-prem infrastructure across environments Manage compute, storage, networking, virtualisation, and container platforms Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions Automate infrastructure using IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) Administer AWS services and optimise performance and cost Ensure system reliability, availability, and scalability through SRE practices Perform patching, upgrades, and security hardening Maintain backups, disaster recovery, and high-availability setups Troubleshoot incidents and support application/engineering teams Document architectures, runbooks, and standard operating procedures Requirements Degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent experience Strong Linux/Windows administration and networking fundamentals Scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Node.js) Experience with monitoring tools, CI/CD, Git, and automation Familiarity with virtualisation and container technologies; certifications are a plus By submitting your resume, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information per ScienTec’s Privacy Policy (scientecconsulting.com/privacy-policy).
