Sous Chef

Job Description We are looking for a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen. The Sous Chef will oversee food preparation, maintain high standards of food quality and hygiene, supervise kitchen staff, and ensure efficient kitchen operations while delivering an exceptional dining experience. Key Responsibilities Assist the Head Chef in managing the day-to-day kitchen operations. Supervise and lead kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and productivity. Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to the restaurant's recipes and standards. Ensure consistency in food quality, portion control, and presentation. Monitor food stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control. Ensure compliance with Singapore food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations. Train, coach, and mentor junior kitchen staff. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and equipment. Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and seasonal promotions. Manage kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef. Minimise food wastage and maintain cost control. Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and report any maintenance issues.
