Automotive Engineering Manager

Job Summary The Automotive Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the engineering team in testing, validation, diagnostics, commissioning, and after-sales technical support for commercial vehicles and automotive systems. This role oversees engineering operations to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards while driving continuous improvement in product reliability, service quality, and operational efficiency. Job resposiblities Lead and manage the automotive engineering team to ensure the successful execution of testing, validation, diagnostics, and after-sales engineering activities. Develop and implement engineering processes, technical standards, and quality control procedures to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. Oversee the testing, validation, and commissioning of automotive vehicles, components, and systems. Lead diagnostic investigations to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues. Manage after-sales maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO), and warranty support to ensure optimal vehicle performance and customer satisfaction. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Service, Production, Quality, Parts, and Sales, to resolve technical issues and improve product reliability. Review and approve technical reports, failure analysis, root cause investigations, and corrective action plans. Provide technical guidance and support during vehicle assembly, commissioning, customer acceptance, and post-delivery service. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering quality, operational efficiency, reliability, and sustainability. Analyse component failures and warranty claims to recommend design improvements and preventive actions. Ensure engineering documentation, test records, service reports, and technical manuals are accurate and up to date.
