Director, Modernisation Consulting Practice

Job Overview: We're looking for an experienced Director to lead our Modernisation Consulting Practice. This is a senior consulting role where you'll work closely with executive leadership to shape enterprise transformation strategies, build consulting offerings and lead large-scale legacy modernisation initiatives across the APAC region. You'll engage directly with C-level stakeholders, drive enterprise architecture discussions, lead solution discovery workshops, develop proposals and oversee the successful delivery of complex transformation programmes. This role is ideal for someone with deep enterprise architecture experience, strong consulting capabilities, and a proven track record modernising large-scale enterprise systems. Key Responsibilities: Lead enterprise modernisation engagements from discovery through delivery. Facilitate executive workshops with CIOs, CTOs, and senior business stakeholders to define transformation strategies. Develop enterprise architecture roadmaps, modernisation strategies, and target-state solution architectures. Build reusable consulting assets including assessment frameworks, playbooks, estimation models, proposal templates, and reference architectures. Lead proposal development, solution design, effort estimation, and commercial scoping for consulting engagements. Provide architectural governance and technical oversight across complex transformation programmes. Collaborate with offshore delivery teams to ensure successful implementation and alignment with business objectives. Drive adoption of cloud-native architectures, API strategies, microservices, automation, and AI-enabled modernisation approaches. Mentor Solution Architects and Business Analysts while helping grow the consulting practice. Requirements: 12+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Technology Consulting, or Digital Transformation. Proven experience leading large-scale application modernisation or legacy transformation programmes from assessment through production deployment. Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud-native technologies, microservices, APIs, integration patterns, and hybrid cloud environments. Experience working with legacy enterprise platforms such as IBM Mainframe, COBOL, RPG, AS/400, or other large-scale legacy application environments is highly preferred. Experience engaging with senior business and technology stakeholders, including CIOs and CTOs. Demonstrated experience leading solution workshops, architecture reviews, and executive presentations. Experience preparing proposals, solution estimations, statements of work, and client presentations. Strong leadership experience managing cross-functional and offshore delivery teams. Experience within Banking, Financial Services, Healthcare, or other highly regulated industries is an advantage. Exposure to AI-enabled modernisation, cloud migration, and enterprise transformation programmes is highly desirable.
