Senior / Plating Engineer, $4,500 (West)

Salary: S$3,800 – S$4,500 Location: West, Singapore (Near Joo Koon MRT) Employment Type: Permanent About the Company Our client, a well-established Japanese manufacturing MNC specializing in precision metal components for the electrical, electronics and semiconductor industries. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily plating production schedules to ensure smooth operations and on-time delivery. Establish, optimize and monitor plating process parameters to achieve consistent product quality. Investigate and resolve production, process, quality and material-related issues. Analyze manufacturing problems and implement improvements to increase productivity, reduce defects and lower production costs. Develop and maintain work instructions (WI), standard operating procedures (SOPs), engineering drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM). Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process automation, tooling and fixture improvements. Train production operators on equipment operation, maintenance and best practices. Ensure manufacturing targets for quality, productivity and yield are achieved. Support Kaizen and other continuous improvement activities. Perform other duties assigned by management. Requirements Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent. At least 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience, preferably in a chemical handling or electroplating environment. Experience in the plating industry is highly preferred. Exposure to Silver Spot Plating will be an added advantage. Knowledge of IATF 16949 , ISO 14001 and statistical process control is an advantage. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and able to interpret AutoCAD engineering drawings. Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Able to work independently with a systematic approach.
