Location: Jurong East, Singapore Contract Duration: Base period: 3 August 2026 to 31 August 2026 Option period: 1 September 2026 to 30 September 2027, exercisable at the school’s discretion Total duration: Up to 14 months Salary Range: S$2,400 to S$2,800 per month, commensurate with experience About the Role We are seeking a Student Management Officer to support student management, discipline, supervision, and school operations in a structured secondary school environment. The role involves working closely with student engagement, discipline, and student management teams to maintain a safe, orderly, and positive school environment. The successful candidate should be comfortable supporting student case management, conducting patrols, supervising students, assisting with school events, and engaging professionally with students, staff, parents, and relevant stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Discipline Management Support Work closely with the Student Management Committee to support school-wide discipline management and the implementation of positive discipline strategies. Support teachers in student case management, including fact-finding, reviewing CCTV footage, interviewing students and staff, documenting findings, and preparing recommendations for follow-up actions. Process late-coming students and maintain related records. Supervise students serving internal suspension or detention. Locate unaccounted students when required. Deter, detect, and report inappropriate student activities, including vaping and smoking. Patrol and Student Supervision Maintain a visible presence on campus to promote positive student behaviour, appearance, and grooming. Conduct regular patrols within and outside the school compound, including the canteen, free-play areas, toilet areas, surrounding blocks, and nearby community areas. Maintain order during recess and lunch breaks, including supervising students queueing for food and returning crockery and cutlery. Manage and de-escalate minor conflicts. Support student safety and well-being during school activities. Build professional relationships with relevant community stakeholders, such as stall vendors and residents, to support monitoring of student behaviour outside the school compound. School Operations and Event Support Support school events, emergency exercises, cohort activities, and other school programmes. Assist with escort duties and invigilation support for special examination rooms. Support meetings or conferences involving students and parents. Assist with school administration and operations on days where students are not in school, including review of safety protocols, security, emergency preparedness, and facility matters. Carry out other duties assigned by school management relating to student management and school operations. Requirements Minimum post-secondary diploma in any discipline. A bachelor’s degree will be advantageous. At least 5 years of working experience, including at least 3 years of experience managing or supervising youth. Prior experience in discipline management, case management, or behaviour support in a school, institutional, or community setting will be strongly valued. Relevant background in uniformed services may be advantageous. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications for incident report writing and case documentation. Strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills. Able to remain composed, resilient, and professional in challenging situations. Able to maintain a firm but caring approach with students. Able to defuse high-tension situations, mediate peer conflicts, and serve as a positive role model. Candidates must possess valid work authorisation in Singapore at the point of application. Candidates must be registered with the Ministry of Education under MOE REMS, or be willing to apply prior to deployment. Registration status will be verified before placement.
