Location: Toa Payoh, Singapore Employment Type: Part-time contract Contract Duration: 3 August 2026 to 30 November 2028 Salary Range: S$1,400 to S$1,800 per month, commensurate with experience About the Role We are seeking a Student Management Support Staff to support student management, social-emotional development, restorative practices, mentoring, and parent engagement in a primary school environment. The role involves working closely with the Student Development Team, Year Heads, Form Teachers, School Counsellors, and relevant school personnel to support students who require behavioural, emotional, social, or additional developmental support. Key Responsibilities Student Supervision and Regulation Support Manage students serving recess suspension or out-of-classroom suspension, ensuring a safe and structured environment. Provide socio-emotional support during curriculum hours for students who require emotional regulation support or assistance following absence, suspension, or other student management concerns. Support the reintegration of students back into class in consultation with the Student Development Team and Form Teachers. Student Engagement, Mentoring, and Intervention Provide targeted intervention, mentoring, and support for identified students with social, emotional, behavioural, or additional needs through regular check-ins and sustained engagement. Build positive, sustained relationships with identified students to support their holistic development and school experience. Plan and facilitate customised intervention programmes during school hours, including mentoring, social-emotional learning, self-regulation, conflict resolution, and restorative practice sessions. Student Management, Restorative Practices, and Mediation Support student management cases, including peer conflict, bullying, repeated behavioural issues, and serious offences through student engagement, fact-finding, documentation, and follow-up. Facilitate restorative conversations, mediation sessions, and relationship-repair processes under the guidance of the Head of Department for Student Management. Equip students with practical strategies for self-regulation, conflict resolution, help-seeking behaviour, and responsible conduct. Social-Emotional and Executive Functioning Development Develop students’ social-emotional competencies, including self-awareness, emotional regulation, empathy, and responsible decision-making. Strengthen students’ executive functioning skills, including organisation, goal-setting, time management, and problem-solving. Build students’ social and communication skills to support positive peer relationships and collaborative learning. Observation, Documentation, and Reporting Observe, document, and report student needs, including behavioural, social-emotional, and peer relationship concerns, through weekly updates to the Student Development Team. Maintain proper documentation of student engagement, intervention progress, and programme outcomes. Ensure confidentiality of all student-related information. Provide weekly feedback to the Student Development Team on student needs, programme progress, and recommended follow-up actions. Parent and Home-School Engagement Build positive relationships between the school, students, and families to strengthen home-school collaboration. Support parent communication and follow-up for selected cases under the guidance of the Head of Department for Student Management. Programme Review and Professional Conduct Support preventive and developmental programmes related to student behaviour, social-emotional learning, restorative practices, and school values. Conduct term-end reviews of engagement and intervention programmes and recommend improvements. Comply with relevant school policies, professional conduct expectations, and deployment requirements. Carry out other student management-related duties assigned by school management within stipulated working hours. Requirements Must be registered with the Ministry of Education under MOE REMS. This is a mandatory requirement, and applications without active MOE registration will not be considered. Qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Child Development, Youth Work, or a related discipline are preferred.
