KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES As a member of the Global Dealing Desk, you will be responsible for the effective and timely execution of equity and listed derivatives transactions, with a primary focus on a major Asian market and additional coverage across regional and global markets. Working within an institutional asset management environment, you will partner closely with portfolio managers, investment teams, operations, compliance, risk, and external counterparties to achieve high-quality execution outcomes. The role requires strong execution discipline, sound market awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and highly controlled trading environment. As a member of the Dealing desk, you will be responsible for executing trades across equity markets with a primary focus on a major Asian market, while supporting broader multi-asset trading activities including derivatives. You are expected to demonstrate strong execution discipline, sound market judgment, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced institutional trading environment. 1. Trade Execution Provide trade execution coverage across assigned Asian markets while supporting broader regional, global, and multi-asset dealing activities. More specifically - Execute orders in cash equities with proven track record of handling a major APAC market (India/HK/China/Japan). Familiar with execution of listed derivatives (Futures and Options) and ETF’s with an understanding of the arbitrage relationship between these products and the underlying market. Exercise sound judgment when selecting execution methods, venues, algorithms, and counterparties to support best execution outcomes. Support the firm’s best execution framework by ensuring that orders are handled fairly, consistently, and in the best interests of clients. 2. Market Knowledge and Investment Partnership Maintain a strong understanding of equity market structure, trading conventions, liquidity dynamics, exchange rules, and settlement practices across covered markets. Develop and apply working knowledge of listed derivatives, including contract specifications, expiry cycles, margin considerations, liquidity, basis risk, and execution mechanics. Communicate relevant market intelligence, liquidity observations, trading flows, and execution considerations to portfolio managers and other investment stakeholders. Build a strong understanding of portfolio managers’ investment processes and trading preferences to deliver appropriate and responsive execution support. Contribute constructively to discussions on trade implementation, execution strategy, and market developments while maintaining clear accountability between investment decision-making and trade execution. 3. Technology and Data Analysis Proficient in the use of trading systems, EMS/OMS platforms. Demonstrate comfort and understanding technology / automation in trade execution. Review execution outcomes using transaction cost analysis and other relevant measures to identify trends, exceptions, and opportunities for improvement. Help build data driven trade process to support investment requirements. 4. Risk, Controls and Regulatory Compliance Ensure all trading activity is conducted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, exchange requirements, client guidelines, internal policies, and the firm’s Code of Conduct. Remain alert to market conduct risks, including conflicts of interest, information handling, order leakage, improper communications, and unusual market activity. Participate in control testing, internal and external audits, regulatory reviews, and remediation activities where required. 5. Counterparty and Stakeholder Management Develop effective working relationships with approved brokers, trading venues, technology providers, and other external counterparties. Interact professionally with brokers while maintaining appropriate independence, confidentiality, and standards of conduct. Work closely with portfolio management, investment operations, compliance, risk, technology, legal, and other internal teams to resolve trading and operational issues. 6. Desk Development and Continuous Improvement Upskill based on evolving requirement from Investment team. Show inclination to expand asset class / product coverage.
