Faststream Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a leading international law firm in the search for a Legal Associate to join its Financial Regulatory & Compliance practice in Singapore. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior lawyer with up to three years' post-qualification experience (PQE) to work alongside market-leading practitioners on complex and high-profile regulatory matters. You will advise a broad range of financial institutions, fintech companies, fund managers, payment service providers, insurers, and multinational corporations on Singapore's evolving regulatory landscape. Key Responsibilities Advise clients on financial services regulatory and compliance matters across Singapore. Support licensing applications and regulatory approvals with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). Provide advice on regulatory frameworks affecting banks, capital markets intermediaries, payment institutions, fund managers, insurers, and fintech businesses. Assist clients with ongoing regulatory compliance, governance, risk management, and internal policies. Advise on AML/CFT, sanctions, data privacy, outsourcing, and conduct-related regulatory requirements. Draft and review legal documentation, regulatory submissions, compliance policies, and commercial agreements. Conduct legal research on new legislation, regulatory developments, and industry guidance. Work closely with partners and clients on cross-border transactions and advisory projects. Requirements Qualified lawyer in Singapore (called to the Singapore bar) Up to 3 years' PQE, ideally gained within a leading law firm or in-house legal team. Experience in financial services regulation, regulatory compliance, banking, fintech, funds, capital markets, or corporate regulatory matters would be advantageous. Excellent drafting, analytical, and legal research skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Commercially minded with a keen interest in financial services and regulatory developments. Able to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, and client-focused environment.
