Contract Manager

Role Overview We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Contract Manager to oversee contract administration, project cost management, and operational improvements across construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing both pre- and post-contract activities, coordinating with internal teams and project stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with contractual, commercial, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Manage the full contract administration process, including tender preparation, tender submissions, contract negotiations, variation orders, progress claims, and final account settlements. Prepare, monitor, and review project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and cost performance throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate closely with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and clients to ensure contractual obligations and project milestones are achieved. Support the implementation of operational improvements, new systems, and best practices to enhance efficiency and service delivery. Review existing workflows, identify process improvement opportunities, and assist in driving operational excellence across projects. Conduct routine site visits and audits to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, company standards, and relevant regulations. Monitor corrective actions arising from inspections and audits to ensure timely resolution. Work collaboratively with internal departments to improve service quality, productivity, and project performance. Prepare reports and provide administrative support related to contract management and project operations as required. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in contract administration, contract management, or commercial management within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of contract management, cost control, tendering, variation claims, and project commercial practices. Good commercial awareness with excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. Able to work independently while managing multiple projects and priorities effectively. Experience in the landscape industry will be an advantage. Able to communicate in Mandarin to liaise effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders where required.
