Finance Business Partner (Govt Project)

This role offers a good blend of Finance Business Partnering, FP&A, financial analysis, budgeting, and process improvement , making it ideal for candidates who enjoy working closely with the business while influencing financial outcomes. Key Responsibilities Business Partnering & Financial Analysis Partner with business units and project managers to provide financial analysis and support business decisions. Conduct business reviews, analyse financial performance, and recommend improvements. Perform scenario analysis, business case evaluations, and resource planning. Drive cost optimisation initiatives and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency. Financial Planning & Reporting Support budgeting, forecasting, month-end and year-end closing activities. Prepare financial reports, analyse budget versus actual performance, and explain key variances. Prepare accruals, budget transfers, and support financial reporting requirements. Financial Operations & Governance Support purchase order administration, fixed asset transfers, and budget management. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial policies, and internal controls. Respond to finance-related queries and provide support to business stakeholders. Projects & Process Improvement Participate in finance system enhancements, UAT, and process improvement initiatives. Support strategic finance projects and other ad-hoc assignments.
