Project Quantity Surveyor [Construction/ ACMV/ M&E]- East - Entry Level

Summary: Industry: Construction / ACMV / M&E Location: East Office Hours, 5 days Entry Level Salary $3k - $4.5k + VB Responsibilities: Prepare quantity take-offs, bills of quantities, and cost estimations for both tender submissions and ongoing projects. Source, liaise, and negotiate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations and ensure project cost efficiency. Prepare cost comparisons, develop, and monitor project budgets to ensure cost control. Prepare and award subcontracts, manage pre- and post-contract administration, and ensure proper documentation. Prepare and submit monthly progress claims, variation orders (VO), final accounts, and payment responses. Review and assess subcontractors’ progress claims and issue final payments in accordance with contractual terms. Evaluate tender drawings for discrepancies, prepare clarifications, and attend site visits, tender briefings, and site meetings as required. Coordinate with consultants, project managers, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of contract and tender requirements. Ensure all tender documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted within specified deadlines. Maintain proper project documentation, including cost reports, progress claims, and procurement records. Perform any other QS-related tasks or ad-hoc duties as assigned by management. Key Requirements: Diploma or higher qualification in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Relevant experience in an M&E construction company with knowledge of tender procedures will have added advantage Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD. Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Detail-oriented, organized, and meticulous in handling project documentation and cost data.
