Job Summary Join a well-established Metal Works company as a Junior Quantity Surveyor, developing skills in quantity take-offs, cost estimation, project costing, and contract administration to support project success and cost control. Responsibilities Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and quotations for Metal Works projects to support accurate budgeting and tender submissions Assist in project costing, budgeting, and tender submissions to ensure competitive and feasible proposals Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts to maintain project financial accuracy Review construction drawings and specifications to determine project requirements and scope Liaise effectively with project managers, site teams, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth project execution Monitor project costs and assist in cost control throughout the project lifecycle to optimize budget adherence Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure value for money and compliance with project needs Maintain accurate project documentation and records for audit and reporting purposes Support the Quantity Surveying team with day-to-day commercial and contractual matters to ensure project compliance and risk management Preferred competencies and qualifications Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or a related discipline Experience in the Metal Works, steel fabrication, façade, or construction industry Basic knowledge of quantity surveying procedures, cost estimation, and contract administration Ability to read and interpret construction drawings Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills applied to project cost management Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse project stakeholders Meticulous and organised approach to meet deadlines and maintain documentation accuracy Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Other Information Competitive salary based on qualifications and relevant experience Annual salary increment based on performance Performance bonus subject to company and individual performance Career development and learning opportunities Friendly, supportive, and collaborative working environment Stable career with an established and growing Metal Works company
