Food Lab Assistant

Key Responsibilities Daily Food Lab Duties Maintain cleanliness of food laboratories, including equipment, table tops, floors, and sinks. Perform daily upkeep of food lab facilities such as refrigerators, ovens, stoves, and other appliances. Check and organize tools, utensils, cookware, and kitchen workstations. Manage food items in refrigerators and storage areas; monitor stock levels and report low inventory. Prepare ingredients and raw materials for practical lessons, including portioning and basic food preparation. Weekly / Monthly / Termly Duties Assist in maintaining safety signage and posters in the food labs. Support stock-taking of equipment, utensils, and consumables. Carry out scheduled cleaning and labelling of shelves, table tops, and equipment during school holidays and examination periods. Conduct periodic checks on perishable food items in storage. Additional Duties Support afternoon cooking programmes conducted in the food labs. Assist with school activities involving the use of food laboratory facilities. Requirements Basic certification in Food Safety / Food Preparation. Able to communicate effectively in English (spoken and written). Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in culinary, food preparation, kitchen operations, or related fields. Experience in store management, inventory control, and organization is preferred. Salary: $12-$13/per hour
