Restaurant Captain

Job duties Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of waiters, servers, and bar staff. Welcome guests and ensure a positive dining experience. Assign tables and service stations to team members. Take customer orders and assist with food and beverage recommendations when needed. Ensure food and drinks are served accurately, promptly, and according to quality standards. Monitor service quality and resolve customer complaints professionally. Train, coach, and mentor new service staff on service standards and procedures. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, health, and safety regulations. Coordinate with the kitchen and bar to ensure timely order preparation and delivery. Inspect dining areas to maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation. Monitor inventory of dining supplies and report replenishment needs. Assist with opening and closing procedures, including preparing the dining area for service. Handle billing, payments, and cash reconciliation when required. Support special events, banquets, and VIP guest service. Maintain company service standards and assist management in achieving customer satisfaction and operational goals. Prepare daily reports and communicate operational issues to supervisors. Perform other duties assigned by restaurant or hotel management.
