Job Summary The Finance Manager oversees financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, budgeting, cash flow, and strategic planning to support business growth and maintain strong internal controls and risk management. Responsibilities Oversee comprehensive finance and accounting functions to ensure accurate financial management Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to support transparent reporting Ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end closing processes Monitor company cash flow and working capital to maintain liquidity and operational efficiency Develop and manage financial forecasts, budgets, and management reports for informed decision-making Analyze financial performance and recommend actionable improvements to enhance profitability Develop annual budgets and monitor budget utilization, investigating variances to control costs Support strategic financial planning aligned with business objectives Conduct cost analysis and profitability reviews to optimize resource allocation Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and relevant regulations Prepare GST submissions, corporate tax schedules, and statutory reports accurately and on time Liaise effectively with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance Maintain adherence to IRAS, ACRA, and CPF regulations to mitigate legal risks Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls Implement risk management strategies to safeguard company assets and minimize financial risks Review and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy Monitor cash flow and liquidity, managing banking relationships and financing facilities Oversee payment schedules, cash requirements, and foreign currency transactions where applicable Lead, supervise, and mentor the finance team to build capabilities and ensure high performance Review work performed by Accounts Executives and Accountants to maintain quality standards Identify training needs and support staff development initiatives Allocate work and monitor team performance to meet organizational goals Provide financial analysis to support management decisions and evaluate investment proposals Participate in business improvement initiatives and support mergers, acquisitions, or expansion projects as required Required competencies and certifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent Minimum 5–8 years of accounting and finance experience At least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and Singapore tax regulations Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, external audits, and statutory compliance Familiarity with GST, corporate tax, and CPF requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Experience with accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, MYOB, Xero, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, or QuickBooks Preferred competencies and qualifications CPA Singapore, ACCA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification Experience in retail, beauty, healthcare, hospitality, or service industries Experience handling SGX requirements Knowledge of ERP implementation Strong leadership and people management skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities High level of integrity and professionalism Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Good organizational and time management skills Detail-oriented with strong accuracy Financial Reporting Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Budgeting & Forecasting Cost Control Cash Flow Management Internal Controls Risk Management Tax Compliance Audit Management Business Partnering Leadership & Team Development Strategic Planning
