About the Role An established transport provider is looking for an Engineer who can develop engineering solutions to ensure the continued reliable operations of critical business assets. The engineer will independently investigate defects and failures and determine root causes, evaluate equipment faults and analyse reliability performance to identify trends, and develop or improve engineering solutions to problems. Key Responsibilities Work in various work sites. Work in rotating or fixed shifts. Perform engineering activities at heights (the company will provide the necessary training and qualifications). Collaborate with relevant personnel from the Operations and Maintenance, and different engineering teams to examine defects, propose solutions, and enhance and suggest improvements to existing strategies to solve them. Analyse and monitor condition monitoring and defect data to identify trends and reliability concerns, and propose solutions, and enhance or suggest improvements to existing strategies to solve them. Establish detailed procedures and guidelines to aid in the prevention and solution of maintenance issues. Identify and implement economic technologies to enhance the performance of critical business assets. Support engineering projects by reviewing design specifications and ensuring their compliance with safety, reliability, maintainability and operability standards. Provide necessary ad-hoc support to engineering projects. Identify and escalate safety risks, hazards, and issues at the workplace. Perform other duties related to or supporting the role, as assigned by the supervisor. (The Company will provide the necessary training and qualifications) Examples include: > Administrative duties > Supporting or initiating emergency responses to operational incidents > Assisting in project execution, including work verification, providing manpower for testing & commissioning, and contractor coordination > Report preparation Requirements Possesses a Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics Engineering Degree or equivalent from an institution recognised by Singapore Professional Engineers Board. Possesses strong leadership and interpersonal skills and is comfortable working alongside various stakeholders in a hands-on environment. Is a team player who can also work independently and can adapt to different work situations. Proficient in various diagnostic and reliability engineering methods. Demonstrates sound judgment and the ability to evaluate complex situations effectively. Skilled in coordinating priorities and managing tasks in a structured manner.
