Finance Supervisor / Gl Lead – Financial Reporting & Closing | Up To $5,000

Company Overview Our client is an established organisation with structured finance operations and a growing team. They are seeking a Finance Supervisor / GL Lead to oversee general ledger functions, financial reporting, and team coordination to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations. Key Responsibilities Financial Closing & Reporting Lead month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules Ensure proper accruals, provisions, and cut-off procedures Prepare management reports and audit schedules General Ledger Management Oversee GL postings and ensure accurate account classification Reconcile intercompany balances and monitor suspense accounts Manage fixed asset accounting and ensure proper documentation Compliance & Audit Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g. SFRS/IFRS) and internal policies Liaise with external auditors and tax agents Support GST and corporate tax reporting Workflow & Process Management Develop and implement structured month-end closing processes and checklists Establish journal review and approval workflows Ensure proper documentation, audit trail, and adherence to internal controls Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy Team Supervision Supervise GL team members and review work quality Provide technical guidance to AP/AR teams Allocate tasks, monitor deadlines, and support team development Requirements Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related discipline At least 5 to 8 years of relevant accounting experience Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred Familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting standards Key Competencies Strong technical accounting and analytical skills Detail-oriented with a structured and systematic approach Good leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment We are committed to fair and merit-based hiring.
